About The Artist
Tim Moloney from Tulla, Co. Clare, Ireland has been painting since 1985. Born in 1955 to a farming family he still lives in the home place in Glandree with his wife Ann and three children. Tim is a self taught artist and while influenced by other artists such as Paul Henry and Maurice Mc Gonigle, he has cultivated his own individual style. His landscape and seascape paintings possess an acute sense of the beauty of the Irish landscape. His character paintings recall times past in his native Co. Clare, depicting scenes such as fair days or turf cutting-past times and ways of life that have in recent years practically disappeared.
Following numerous exhibitions at home and abroad, culminating in a sell out show in St. Louis, Tim decided to produce quality prints of his work. These are tastefully matted and personally signed by the artist himself. If you ever find yourself in Tulla, please feel welcome to visit Tim's Studio/Gallery at 3, The Stables. |
